In Memory of Roann H. Leinbaugh
Roann H. Leinbaugh, age 84, of Danbury, Iowa, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the Methodist Hospital of Omaha, NE.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Odebolt, Iowa. A Graveside Service will follow immediately after in the Saint Martin’s Catholic Cemetery in Odebolt, with Pastor Ken Miller Officiating.

The daughter of Leo Otto and Helen Elizabeth (Kemp) Schrank, Roann was born on August 18, 1940, in Danbury, IA. She grew up on the family farm west of Danbury and received her education at Danbury High School.
On June 13, 1959, Roann was united in marriage to Larry Lee Leinbaugh in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Danbury. The couple welcomed three sons, Mike, Randy, and Rick. The family settled in Denison, IA, where Roann was employed at J&O Oil Company for 16 years before relocating to Odebolt, IA.
While in Odebolt, Roann enjoyed working in the grocery store industry. She started her career at the local Super Valu in Odebolt and retired from an Omaha, NE, Hy-Vee grocery store.
Roann was a true sports enthusiast. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and following her favorite sports teams. Roann also enjoyed a good word search book.
Survivors include her son Mike Leinbaugh of Odebolt, IA; daughter-in-law Shari Leinbaugh of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Tyler (Emily) Leinbaugh of Lawton, IA, Dalton (Shae) Leinbaugh of Odebolt, IA, Zach (Sydney) Leinbaugh of Omaha, NE, Parker Leinbaugh of Omaha, NE, and Ashely (Ryan) Bantz of Excelsior, MN; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Robin (Tim) Welte of Danbury, IA and Ruth Schrank of Sioux City, IA; extended family and friends.
Roann was precede in death by her husband Larry Leinbaugh; sons Randy and Rick Leinbaugh; parents Leo and Helen Schrank; brother Rollie Schrank; sister Sarah Heath; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
