Laura Lou (Lindsay) Paulsen, age 96, of Mesa Arizona, was peacefully called home to her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2026. 

At Laura’s request there will be no visitation nor services. Inurnment will be in the Ida Grove Cemetery in Ida Grove, Iowa, in the Edwin Lindsay family plot.

Laura Lou (Lindsay) Paulsen was born on June 21, 1929. She graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1947 and attended Simpson College from 1947 to 1949 where she was a member of Alpha Kai Omega. She later received her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Buena Vista College in 1965. She then spent her career as a public school and vocational institute teacher in Iowa and Minnesota until her retirement. She then moved to Mesa, Arizona. 

Her life was marked by extreme faith, kindness, strength, love of dogs, the military, and her love of family and friends; especially her Mesa SVE community friends. Her memory will be a blessing to all of those who knew and loved her. 

Laura is survived by her son James Paulsen and his wife Tamara Avant Paulsen; in-law Shirlene Paulsen; nephews Bob Noll, Fred and Floyd Gourley; and nieces Elzene Gourley and Mary Susan Noll. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, each of whom she adored.  

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Scott Paulsen; her brother Jim Lindsay; and her sisters Mary Noll, Betty Gourley and Colleen Lindsay.
