Fred C. Streck
April 7, 1928 - December 31, 1969

Fred C Streck 85 of Loveland Co passed away on March 25th following a brief illness at Berthoud Living Center surrounded by his family. Fred was born on April 7th 1928 to Fred J. and Malwine Heurermann Streck on the farm in Ida Grove Iowa during a snowstorm. Fred graduated from high school and served in the Army where he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas from 1950-1952. He married Eldora Loretta Rossow on August 17, 1951 in Battle Creek Iowa.
Fred moved his family to Colorado in 1970. For many years Fred served our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with custodial duties at both First Christian Church in Fort Collins, Co and Immanuel Lutheran Church and school in Loveland. After retirement in 1990, Fred enjoyed tinkering in the garage with his cars and wrenches and watching the Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday evening on PBS. He enjoyed listening to big band music, including the likes of Sammy Kaye, Glenn Miller and other bands from the 50s.
Fred is survived by his three children, Rick Streck of Loveland, Randy Streck of Missoula, Mt, Lori Streck Heron of Loveland, three grandchildren, James (Kerry) Streck, Travis (Adrienne) Streck of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lucas Heron of Loveland, and brother-in-law Wayne Rossow.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Eldora, his parents Fred and Malwine Streck, brothers Ted, Martin, and Herbert, two sisters, Hilda (Billie) Andresen, Margaret (Margie) Landon and nephew David Andresen. Donations can be made to Immanuel Luthern Church and School.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28th 2014, 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loveland, CO. A viewing will be held at Thursday, March 27th, 2014 from 4-7pm at Viegut Funeral Home.
