Lorraine D. Fey, age 84, of Battle Creek, Iowa passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church of Battle Creek, Iowa. The Reverend Randy D. Cormeny will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa. Visitation will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church of Battle Creek, Iowa from 9:00 a.m to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014.The Christensen ~ Van Houten Funeral Home of Battle Creek, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Lorraine D. Fey was born on April 20, 1930 to Adolph and Hedwig Vogler in Schaller, Iowa.  Lorraine attended school in Schaller and graduated from Schaller High School.

Lorraine met Wayne A. Fey and the couple were married on July 3, 1948 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. The couple made their home in Battle Creek, Iowa. Lorraine and Wayne were blessed with two children, Gaylin and Susan.

Lorraine was a homemaker and then became a book keeper for many businesses before she retired in 1992. She enjoyed: fishing, cooking, baking, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and visiting with friends and family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Fey of Battle Creek, Iowa; two children, Gaylin (Barbara) Fey of Cherokee, Iowa, Susan (Larry) Grieme of Schaller, Iowa; five grandchildren: Jodi Engstrom, Kent (Sherrie) Grieme, Evan (Jamie) Grieme, Cindy (Brent) Heller, Holly Fey; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Delores Mills of California; sister-in-law, Palma Campbell of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and one sister.
