“Lane was a beautiful, wonderful, caring person. We just found out of his passing. We will remember Lane with his wonderful cooking, smile and laugh. We have not seen Lane in quite a few years. As we worked together in the 1998 to 2002. Our sympathy goes out to you his family. He spoke about you often and would express how he could not wait to get back home to see you. We will be missed, but remembered fondly. God Bless.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with the Marten family. I had the pleasure of working with Lane over the past few years. Whenever he was in the office, he would always stop by and say hello. He was always smiling, happy and eager to talk about his family, whom he loved very much. Praying for God's comfort during this difficult time.”

“Sadly my heart has the deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Lane. Monday, i was told my mentor died in a car accident in southeast Kansas and my heart dropped. i said to myself, please not him, not him, but unfortunately we never know when we have to go. From our many discussions, he loved his family especially his mom and pop. Lane had a big heart and has to be one of the greatest persons i have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was very intelligent, funny, and outgoing. He had a knack for finding the best restaurant anywhere. and when it came to ask him something about technology, never did he say "no I can't teach you." When I started in the telecom business in 2000,he was there, and when I left my old company of 12yrs, he stayed to teach and make them the best at their trade. it is true, he loved life, motorcycles, travel and the last time i spoke to him he was loving it in hawaii. He taught me a lot about technology and big business, I owe him a lot and I'm glad to call him my pal. You will be missed, rest in peace.”

“Our deepest sympathy to the Marten Family. I have had the pleasure of working with Lane at Scientel for the past 5 years or so. Lane was always there when you needed him. He was a joy to be around, whether it was at a football game, Nascar race, a cookout, working on a project, or just hanging out listening to him tell a story from his past. If i know anything about Lane is that he had a great love for his family, loved to cook, loved to ride motorcycles and never backed down from a task to hard to or too difficult to accomplish. I do know that he has touched several people's lives in many ways and that he will truly be missed. ”
