Barbara Jo Weiss, age 57, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m.., Saturday, October 04, 2014 at the Gowrie Township Cemetery of Gowrie, Iowa. The Reverend Jim Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gowrie Township Cemetery of Gowrie, Iowa. The Christensen ~ Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Barbara Jo Weiss, age 57, of Ida Grove, Iowa, went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, October 1, 2014, Barbara passed away at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Barbara Jo Weiss was born on November 15, 1956 to William and Eleanor (Lewis) Weiss.

She was baptized into her faith at the United Methodist Church of Gowrie, Iowa. Barbara attended school and graduated from Gowrie high school. 

Barbara loved her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, playing games on the computer, and animals.

Barb will be remembered for her green thumb and her likable personality.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Charlene (Randy) Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; one niece, two nephews, one great niece and one great nephew; two step brothers and three step sisters; fiancée Bill Sharp, and many friends.

Barbra was preceded in death by her parents, William Weiss and Eleanor Cote; and grandparents, Della and D. Lynn Lewis.
