Shawn Michael Tilley, age 34, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Unity Point Health - St. Luke’s Hospital of Sioux City, Iowa.
Per Shawn’s wishes, his body was cremated and no services are planned at this time. The Christensen ~ Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent online to www.christensenvanhouten.com
Shawn Michael Tilley was born on July 15, 1980 in Valparaiso, Indiana to John Michael Drum and Toni Lee (Monroe).
Shawn grew up and attended school in Valparaiso, Indiana until 8 years old, when he moved with his father to Georgia.
While in school Shawn enjoyed photograph. After school Shawn worked as an auto mechanic at a few different auto dealerships. In the fall of 2013, Shawn moved back to Ida Grove, Iowa. He was employed at Midwest Industries and worked for nine months until medical issues prevented him from working.
Shawn enjoyed playing computer games, cards, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Toni Monroe and Fiancé Al Stevens of Ida Grove, Iowa; paternal grandmother Kate; brothers, Shane Tilley of Naples, Florida; David Zell of Ida Grove, Iowa; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Drum; brother, Dustin Drum; grandfathers, Tom Monroe and John Tilley; and grandmother, Marilyn “Kay” Monroe.

I'm a Minister and after reading Shawn's obituary wanted to extend my condolence to your family. One bible scripture that come's to mind is Isaiah chap 33 verse 24 where God's promises us that soon under his kingdom no one will be sick. So until that glorious time, remember to pray for God's Kingdom to Come. ”
