Nancy Ann Imhoff, age 72, of Odebolt, Iowa passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Bethany Life Communities of Story City, Iowa.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Odebolt, Iowa. The Father Richard D. Ball will officiate. Committal Services will follow at the St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery of Odebolt, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Odebolt, Iowa. Nancy Ann Imhoff was born on September 27, 1942 in Atlantic, Iowa to Joseph and Olga (Krenk) Brabec.
Nancy’s family made their home in the Varina, Iowa area. She attended school and graduated with the class of 1960. After high school Nancy went on to further her education with two years of college.
Nancy was united into marriage to Francis “Boyd” Imhoff Jr. on February 8, 1964 at St. Columbkill’s Catholic Church of Varina, Iowa. The couple made their home in Pocahontas, and were blessed with three sons: Wayne, Joel, and Mark. The family moved to Odebolt, Iowa in 1970.
Nancy was a faithful member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Odebolt, Iowa. In the past she served as the secretary of the Odebolt Fair Board, worked as a dietician and cook at several nursing homes in the area; and recently served as the City Clerk of Arthur, Iowa.
Nancy loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and decorating wedding cakes and birthday cakes, reading, delivering meals on wheels, and lending a helping hand.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne (Stephanie) Imhoff of Ames, Iowa, Joel (Heather) Imhoff of Ames, Iowa, Mark (Donna) Imhoff of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Anna Imhoff, David Imhoff, Colin Imhoff, and Sarah Imhoff; brothers, Kenneth (Jan) Brabec of Fonda, Iowa, Dennis (Marcella) Brabec of Laurens, Iowa, Allan Brabec of Albert City, Iowa, and extended family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Imhoff; parents, Joseph and Olga Brabec; parents-in-law, Francis and Irene Imhoff.
