Kevin R. Duncklee, age 53, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home. The Christensen - Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent online to www.christensenvanhouten.com


Kevin R. Duncklee was born on October 1, 1963 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Donald and Marilyn (Warner) Duncklee. He grew up in the Waterloo area.

He enjoyed, camping, fishing, boating, figure eight races, tattoo’s, smoking meat, telling jokes, and spending time with his family. Kevin’s true treasure in life were his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Donald (Fonda) Duncklee of Kentucky; children: Sara and fiancé Derek Bohlmann of Charter Oak, Shawn Duncklee of Dow City, Shane Duncklee of Denison, Maryah Salas of New Mexico, and Brooklynn Duncklee of Ida Grove; grandchildren: Avery, Slater, Devynn, Stetsynn; fiancée, Sarah Ward of Ida Grove; step grandchildren: Michael, Brandon, David, and Michaela; sisters, Christi Abbas of Waterloo and Brenda Herr of Kansas; dear friends, Monica Duncklee of Dow City, Deanna Salas of New Mexico, and Diana Duncklee of Ida Grove, Iowa; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Kevin is preceded in death by his mother and step father; paternal grandparents; aunts and uncles.
