“I send my sincere sympathy and condolences to Colleen's
family. I was stunned and saddened to hear of her death.
I didn't realize she was ill. I went to school with Colleen at
Lake View. I moved away in my junior year and she gave me a plate
as a going away gift. It reads "Lake View, Iowa where friends are
precious". That was 1952 and I still have the plate. Colleen has been a precious friend for
all these years. We sent Christmas cards every year with news about our families.
I saw her on my last visit to LV. I will miss her dearly as will countless others.
So glad to have known her. Barb”

“Colleen was a high school classmate of mine and Jim and I are saddened by her death. We arrived home from our winter in Arizona to hear this sad news, not realizing she was even ill. Colleen was a wonderful friend and will be missed by many.

Sincerely, Lois Manuel Long”
