Richard Allen Bush, age 82, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on October 1, 2018, at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek, Iowa.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018, Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa. Pastor Kevin J. Freese will officiate with The Christensen -Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at www.christensenvanhouten.com

Richard Allen Bush, was born on June 5, 1936, the son of Angelo and Edna (Thomas) Bush.  He moved to Ida Services (ISI) in March of 1984.  Richard loved his ISI family. He enjoyed taking trips with his housemates to South Dakota, Hawaii, and the Wisconsin Dells.

Richard was a loyal and hard worker who thought the world of everyone he met. In his down time, he liked to play Yahtzee, put together jigsaw puzzles, and play solitaire on his computer. He was an avid football fan and loved anything associated with the military, old war movies, and westerns.

Ida Services provided Richard with a family environment for the last 34 years. He will be greatly missed by his housemates, caregivers and all who knew him.

Left to cherish Richard’s memory are his ISI family.
