“One of the finest individuals I ever had the pleasure of meeting in this life. An honest, intelligent man with a lot of character. The greatest crappie angler I have ever been in the boat with. Will miss ya.”

“Karen: Although I've lived in TN for 0ver 20 years, I still scan online obituaries of various NW IA papers. Please accept my sincere sympathy in the death of your husband, Harold. I can still remember when you approached our classmate, Donnie Higgins, and asked him if he was related to a Harold Higgins from Sac City. I guess Donnie wasn't.

Your old classmate from Lincoln and LCHS,
Lee Campbell”

“I am sorry to hear that Harvey has passed. He always had a way of making me laugh! No one could tell a "fish" story like him! He is probably tossing a line with Kenny again in heaven! He touched many lives and will be remembered!”

“I was sorry to hear of the passing of Harold. I had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him when he worked in member services at Sac County REC several years ago. Harold was a positive member of our Corn Belt Power cooperative group - he always had a smile and usually a story to tell! Blessings to your family.”

“Harvey was very special friend and I always enjoyed spending time with Harvey. I will always remember the times we shared and many of them were very enjoyable and interesting. Harvey tought me a lot of things that I wil always remember. I will miss the times we shared as a group and just Harvey and I prior to hunting seasons. Harvey always declared himself as the "Lakes Legend" and "Deer Master" and he always smiled while saying. You can't forget that smile and look. Harvey will never be forgotten and many things I do today are things he has taught me. Harvey was like a father to me as well as Karen a mother, that's the way they made me feel and I will always remember. My heart and prayers are with the family during this time as well as friends who spent time with Harvey and loved him as I do.
