Patricia Ann “Pat” Jensen, age 85, of Battle Creek, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019, at the First Presbyterian of Battle Creek, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa. A Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019, at the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek, Iowa. Patricia Ann “Pat” Jensen, the daughter of George and Verna (Corrington) Booth, was born on June 19, 1933, in Alta, Iowa. She grew up south of Peterson, IA, where she graduated from Brook School with the class of 1951.
On February 1, 1953, Pat was united into marriage to William “Bill” Jensen in the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek, IA. The couple settled down on the family farm southwest of Battle Creek, IA, where the couple farmed until they retired in 2001. Pat and Bill were blessed with three sons Mike, Dan, and Jason.
Pat had a strong and unwavering faith in her Lord. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek and active in United Presbyterian Women. Pat was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the BC Women’s Club.
She enjoyed camping, vacations, gardening, canning, reading, crocheting, tending to her flowers and visiting with friends.
Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years William “Bill” Jensen of Battle Creek, IA; sons Mike (Teresa) Jensen of Ida Grove, IA, Dan Jensen of Arthur, IA, and Jason Jensen of Battle Creek, IA; two grandchildren Dylan Jensen of St. Louis, MO and Nathan Jensen of Manning, IA; three great-grandchildren Ireland Jensen of St. Louis, MO, Cade and Brock Jensen of Manning, IA; sisters-in-law Frances Scott of Omaha, NE and Mary Jensen of Battle Creek, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Verna Booth; two sisters and five brothers.
