Wayne F. Gosch, age 91, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at the Morningside Care Center of Ida Grove, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Pastor Shari O'Bannon will officiate. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa. Wayne F. Gosch, the son of Edward H. and Adela (Ericksen) Gosch, was born on August 15, 1928, in Odebolt, Iowa.

During war time, Wayne began farming. He was also the director of Farm Mutual Insurance for 30 years in Kiron, Iowa. On June 6, 1970, Wayne was united in marriage to Arlene Peterson in the Glen Avon Presbyterian Church in Duluth, Minnesota. To this union two sons were born, Michael and Jason. The family made their home on a farm south of Arthur, Iowa. After 40 years of farming, Wayne went to work for Midwest Industries until he retired.

Wayne loved farming, antique car shows, his 1967 GMC truck, coffee shop talk and polka music. He also enjoyed roller skating and bowling.

Wayne is survived by his son, Jason Gosch of Ames, IA; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Adela Gosch; wife, Arlene Gosch; son, Michael Gosch; sister, Vera (Bill) Moore; and brothers, Gene (Mary) Gosch and John (Phyllis) Gosch.
