In Memory of Paul Heyer
Paul Heyer, age 75, of Battle Creek, Iowa, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.
At his request, cremation has taken place and private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Born September 22, 1937, in Woodbury County, Iowa, Paul Frank Heyer was the son of Frank and Twyla (Hamilton) Heyer. He graduated from Cushing Consolidated School.
On November 12, 1964, Paul married Janice (Madsen) Heyer at Battle Creek, Iowa.
He was a lifelong mechanic and owned and operated Paul’s Repair in Battle Creek for 35 years. He was a railroad train fan with a special interest in steam locomotives.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; a brother, Emmett (Marlene) Heyer of Downs, KS; a nephew, Steve Heyer of McPherson, KS; nieces, Gloria Ames of Downs, KS, Debra (George) Flores of Lawton, OK, and Vici (Wendell) Hafley of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother-in-law, Darrell (Vicki) Madsen of Shenandoah; a sister-in-law, Ellen Madsen of Sioux City; as well as great-nieces and –nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Randall Paul Heyer; and a brother-in-law, Richard Madsen.
