“Shaina was a childhood friend that was and always will be remembered in the hearts of so many. I can remember no matter where I would see her she would always be so full of laughter and bright smiles! I pray that her family will have strength to overcome their great loss and have Faith that God is keeping her safe now, and she will be Boston’s forever Guardian angel until they meet againðŸ™ðŸ¼”

“I met Shaina at First United Presbyterian Church in Galesburg. What a bright light she was, and her love of God was obvious! Boston is so wonderful, and I’ll continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers, as well as Joey and all family of Shaina. She said Boston liked me because my hair looked like “Aunt Shelbyâ€. My deepest sympathy and prayers always!”

“The Schmidt family. I write this with a heavy heart. Shaina will be missed by a lot of people. She touched many lives. Mary Jo babysat her, Teresa and Trudie became very good friends with Shaina. She played 8th grade basketball and High school golf for me. She was a treat to coach and be around. Shaina is God's hands now. God bless you and your family.”

“To Boston, Joey, Tracey, Deron and the Schmidt Family,
There are no words to describe the sadness and loss of Shaina is to our family. It always gave me such joy to witness the love she had for Boston and my son, Joey. I was so happy they had the opportunity to continue to grow in love together in their new home in Illinois. Now it’s up to those who loved Shaina dearly to make sure that Boston and Joey remember all she gave to them. I pray that you, Shaina, will be their “special angel†watching over them as they struggle on without you. Love you! Rita Hayes (Mom)”

“Schmidt Family, Joey and Boston,
There are no words to describe how incredibly sorry I am for your loss. I have always greatly admired Shaina's devotion to family and how incredible of a mother she was to Boston. It was so evident how much she adored her family and son and how much you adored her. I will forever be grateful how she was there for Joey during our own father's death and remember the kindness and compassion she showed to our family during such a difficult time. Losing Shaina is such an immense loss for all. She was a beautiful and caring person and I am so glad to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.”
