Rebecca “Becca” Leigh Cedeño, age 18, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020, as a result of a car accident in Sioux City, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Christensen – Van Houten of Ida Grove, Iowa. Rebecca Leigh Cedeño, the daughter of Louis and Jenniffer (Kron) Cedeño, was born on March 28, 2001, in Ida Grove, Iowa. She grew up in Ida Grove and received her education from OABCIG High School graduating with the class of 2019. Rebecca was currently attending college at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa.
Rebecca was an avid reader who could be found going back and forth between multiple books at the same time. She also enjoyed drawing and painting in her spare time. During her high school years, Rebecca was a member of the choir. One of her proudest moments was her solo during their performance of Dream On. You may remember her riding her bike and her warm, friendly smile as a cashier at Food Pride.
Rebecca will be remembered by all who knew her as being one of the sweetest and kindest girls. To her family, she was definitely a little firecracker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Rebecca was an amazing daughter, feisty sister, and loving aunt.
Left to cherish her memory include her mother Jenniffer and stepfather Shannon Hopkins of Ida Grove, IA; father Louis Cedeño of Ida Grove, IA; sisters Emily, Kelsie, Melissa, and Destiny; brothers Joseph and Jaxon; nephews, Colton and Connor; nieces Chelsie and Evelyn; grandparents Gary Kron, Dorothy (Gil) Schoba, Herbie (Benita) Cedeño and Laure Sweet; great grandmother Marge Rath; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and not sister by blood but sister by heart, Brooke Little.
She was preceded in death by aunt Amy Kron; great grandparents Merle and Mildred (Ingram) Kron and Frederick “Fritz” Rath; and her beloved dog, Tinkerbell.
