In Memory of Mervin R. Weber
Mervin R. Weber, age 79, of Battle Creek, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society of Holstein, Iowa.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate.

Mervin “Merv” Robert Weber, the son of Everett and Ina (Douds) Weber, was born on May 7, 1941, in Holly Springs, Iowa. He grew up on a farm in rural Holly Springs and received his education at Holly Springs-Hornick High School graduating with the class of 1961.
After high school Merv began working in autobody repair for a number of years. During that time, he was employed at Bickley’s in Ida Grove, IA, Bart’s Body Shop in Battle Creek, IA and Barry Motors in Danbury, IA. Throughout his lifetime he also drove truck for Hewitt Trucking, worked at Willow Dale Nursing Home/Hartley Memorial Hospital, Midwest Industries, and most recently at VT Industries.
On October 1, 1966, Merv was united in marriage to Ardis Jensen at the First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove. The couple was blessed with three children: Julie, Lisa and Mike. The family made their home in Battle Creek.
Merv was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek. He enjoyed being outside tending to his garden and flowers as well as caring for his pet rabbit. Merv took great pleasure in restoring his 1969 Plymouth Fury III convertible. He loved taking his family out for cruises in it. Merv enjoyed visiting with family and friends and especially loved when his grandchildren would stay overnight. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Ardis Weber of Battle Creek, IA; his children Julie (John) Feauto of Lawton, IA, Lisa (Jeff) Mack of Holstein, IA and Mike Weber of Sioux Falls, SD; 4 grandchildren Shanade (Brandon) Stevenson of Holstein, IA, Christopher Weber of Canton, SD, Jaden and Jori Feauto of Lawton, IA; 3 step grandchildren Nichole (Nathaniel) Tonner of Omaha, NE, Mitchel (Jennifer) Mack of Sioux City, IA and Austin Mack of Ames, IA; 2 great-grandchildren Trinity and Indy Stevenson of Holstein, IA; 1 step great-grandchild Casey Mack of Sioux City, IA; sisters Lynda (Jan) Hewitt of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Chris (Roger) Jochims of Mapleton, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Merv was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Ina Weber; and brother Larry Weber.
