In Memory of Jordan Eugene Reed

Jordan Eugene Reed, age 3, of Battle Creek, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Children’s Hospital of Omaha, Nebraska.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, with a visitation held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Reverend Neil Wehmas will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established in Jordan’s name at the United Bank of Iowa.

Born on September 3, 2019, in Denison, Iowa, Jordan was welcomed into the world by his mother Billie Mosier and father Joseph Reed.

Jordan grew into a sweet little soul. He was thoughtful, kind, and had just the right amount of “All Boy”. He adored being a big brother to Brock and Maverick and as big brothers do, Jordan was their protector. He also enjoyed making them smile and giggle. He loved watching Cars, Toy Story, Paw Patrol and playing outside. The park being one of his favorite places.

With his outgoing personality, Jordan loved meeting new people and visiting familiar faces. Even though he was only here for a short while, Jordan touched the hearts of many.

Left to cherish his memory include his mother Billie (Andrew Conrad) Mosier of Battle Creek, IA and father Joseph Reed of Des Moines, IA; brothers Brock Reed and Maverick Mosier; grandparents Van and Wendy Mosier of Ida Grove, IA, Mike and Debra Reed of Ida Grove, IA and Mary Reed of Des Moines, IA; aunts Vandy (Shane) Spellman, Alison (John) Haisman, Vanessa Janson, Tabatha (Long) Li, Brittany (Joe) Simpson and Heidi Grissom; uncle Brian Reed and Sean Reed; numerous family members and friends.

Jordan was preceded in death by his cousin Elliot Jordan and great grandma Wanda Mosier.
