In Memory of Elsie D. Danielson
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Father Richard D. Ball will officiate. Committal Services will be held in the Hayes Township Cemetery of Arthur, Iowa.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Monday, April 1, 2024, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Elsie Darlene Danielson, the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Erickson) Nepper, was born on March 8, 1951, in Ida Grove, Iowa. She grew up in and received her education from Ida Grove High School, graduating with the class of 1971.
After high school, Elsie entered the work force. In her early years, she helped her mother clean local businesses and homes. She also worked for a while at the Skate Palace. In 1987 Elsie began working in the Housekeeping Department at Gomaco. She retired in 2015 after 28 years of employment.
Elsie was blessed with two children: Lance and Lana. On December 4, 2000, she was united in marriage to Dale Danielson. The couple made their home in Arthur, Iowa, where Elsie enjoyed caring for her beloved cat and dog. She also enjoyed tending to her house plants and outside flowers as well as feeding the birds and squirrels. Elsie enjoyed bowling and for many years was active in league participating on the Gomaco bowling team. She also enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with Dale.
Elsie was loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband Dale Danielson of Arthur, IA; children Lance (Michelle) Means and Lana Means (fiancé Jon Nielsen) both of Ida Grove, IA; stepdaughters Melanie Danielson (Kennie Walsworth) of Manistee, MI and Kristy Danielson of Ames, IA; 4 grandchildren: Dominic Means of Sioux Falls, SD, Jasmine Means (Dustin Maae) of Ida Grove, IA, Isaiah Means of Ida Grove, IA and Savanna Means of Vienna, WV; 5 great-grandchildren: Daniel, Titus and Lucas Means of Sioux Falls, SD, Zoey Means and Brentley Maae of Ida Grove, IA; sister Sharon (Bud) Jepsen of Ida Grove, IA; brother Paul (Valerie) Nepper of Odebolt, IA; brother-in-law Mac Dungan of Ida Grove, IA; sister-in-law Ronda Nepper of Ida Grove, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Paul Nepper; brothers Charles and Raymond Nepper; and sisters Lorraine Dungan and Jessie Diane Nepper (in infancy).
