In Memory of Linda Schoeberl

Linda E. Schoeberl, age 69, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, formally of Odebolt, Iowa passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
           
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2013, at the St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Odebolt, Iowa with the Father Richard D. Ball officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery of Odebolt, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Odebolt. Linda Ella Schoeberl was born on July 10, 1944 in Odebolt, Iowa to William (“Doc”) and Mabel (Fritz) Schoeberl. Linda graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High school in 1962 and went on to attend college at Morningside College before she transferred to Indiana University where she majored in music and French horn performance  graduating in 1973.

She performed at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado during the summers in the 1970’s.

Linda enjoyed playing piano, bingo, 500 and other card games and in her spare time drawing and sketching, at the Ellen’s, Greenleaf, and  Villa Care Health Centers in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Linda is survived by many cousins and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Aunt Henrietta Perkins, Uncle Carl Fritz and Aunt     Arva, Uncle Robert Fritz and Aunt Ginny, Aunt Minnie Schmidt; Uncles: John, Sebastian, Joseph, Frank, Peter, Louis, Albert and Ambrose Schoeberl; Aunts: Louise Honrath, Mary Brinker, Sister Mary Judith, Clara Runchey, Helen Mollers, and Sister Mary Hildegarde.
