Audrey Wonder, age 64, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. The Reverend Richard A. Salcido will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Christensen – Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa. Burial will be held at a later date in the Ida Grove Cemetery of Ida Grove, Iowa. The Christensen - Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Audrey Wonder the daughter of Ervin and Alvina (Werkmeister) Lichtenberg, was born on January 27, 1952 in Ida Grove, Iowa.

She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith. Audrey attended and graduated from Ida Grove High School with the class of 1970.

On July 20, 1974, Audrey was united into marriage to Rick Wonder in the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Audrey and Rick were blessed with a daughter, April.

Audrey worked at many local restaurants in the area cooking and baking. She enjoyed fishing, walking, and taking a Sunday drive with a quick trip to Dairy Queen. Just recently she liked playing BINGO and taking day trips with her Willow Dale Wellness Village group.  But most of all Audrey treasured her family especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42 years, Rick Wonder of Ida Grove, Iowa; daughter, April (Jeremie) Reitz and their children: Zane, Ethan, Caleb, and Alana Reitz of Ida Grove, Iowa; siblings, Sharon Bennigsdorf, Jim (Judy) Lichtenberg, Jerome (Becky) Lichtenberg, Monte Lichtenberg, and Cindy (Dale) Hinrickson all of Ida Grove, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Alvina Lichtenberg; brother, Jeff Lichtenberg; brother-in-law, Gary Bennigsdorf; nephews, Todd Bennigsdorf and Jamie Hinrickson; parents-in-law, Leroy and Dorene Wonder; and sister-in-law, Diane Schoeppner.
