In recent days I have been doing some sorting and coming across several items made for me by LeRoy and JoAnn. They were such a great pair in turning out their distinguished woodworking items. Just recently I found the old snowmobile suit I bought at Farley's, in the late 1970s or early 1980s. The cleaners is now mending it for me, and then I shall wear it again.
Le Roy was such a wonderful friend of the Pioneer Record. We just felt his support all the time. I recently found a photo of the eight Ida Grove friends who visited me in Le Mars after I moved there in 1995. Four of the eight are now gone. I will attempt to get that photo to the family.
I appreciate what LeRoy and JoAnn did for the Ida County Historical Society, too. They were definitely cornerstones of Ida Grove.
God bless their memory,

My wife and I offer our sincerest condolences for your loss. In reading about your Dad he most assuredly lived his life to the fullest and was a generous man. Kyle, I can see why you are the great person that you are and I am certain your Dad is proud of you. Leroy is once again with your Mom , along with all those preceding and sharing the best of times. May God bless you and keep you in this time of loss, yet celebration of your Dad’s life.
Donn and Becky Berkeland”
